Excerpt Two!

I figured, seeing as I gave you the first two pages of the new WIP and as I haven’t yet finished, I could give you another page or so, just to tide you over until I finished writing it. You’ll be pleased to know that the writing goes well. I’m particularly chipper today so it should go even better than usual. My aim is to get it finished as soon as possible so I can release it to you lovely people (free of charge, of course).

I would exceedingly appreciate any feedback you care to give – even if it is to say you hate my writing and I should go die in a hole. Honestly, I’d prefer constructive criticism, though. That way I can improve my writing and bring you much better pieces to read.

An Excerpt Of A Leaking Manuscript

As you’re probably aware, I’ve been writing a new WIP. It’s title at the moment is The Leaking Manuscript. Instead of blogging, I’ve been spending my time working on that, so I thought I might share the beginning with you all and hope you like it enough to read the WIP when I release it as a PDF. Anyway, here you go:

New Gadgets To Fiddle With

Today I downloaded the beta version of the new Windows Live Messenger (msn to those of the old school variety). Normally, this probably wouldn’t be anything to do with the writing community; however, the new features and some of the new side programs are quite helpful for a writer wanting to stay in touch online.
The new features include the ability to connect with your facebook page and your twitter page. It also allows you to add in blog feeds so that anybody you are connected with on msn (depending on your privacy settings) will be able to see updates on your blog, your twitter and your facebook page. You can also have it join in with your myspace.

Sir WIPalot the PDF

I'm currently writing a new WIP that I hope to release for free in PDF form. I'm releasing it free because, as much as I'd quite like to make money off my writing, there is no way that I'm going to be able to do that properly if I don't get some of my writing out there so that other people can read it, though. Plus, this will help me improve through criticism and through simply writing more. I may try to write these short PDF stories as often as possible.

In Our House Made Of Paper, Your Words All Over Me

Apparently, being imaginative and creative makes me a waste of space according to my second eldest brother. Apparently, it makes me worth absolutely nothing. This was what I was told yesterday. he couldn't have picked a better day to have a go at me. It's nice to know that basically everything I am and everything I aspire to be is absolutely worthless. I should give him a nickname so that I can refer to him better as I have three brothers. We'll call this one Mr God Complex...

20th June... Also Known As: Well, It's Been A Year

Exactly a year ago today is the day that I had my heart broken. It would be nice if I couldn't remember the date, but I do. It was the day after a foam party at a local club and I know for a fact that that was on the nineteenth. I guess that's why I've been putting off writing in here. I don't really have much to say about it. I've been keeping myself busy, ignoring the fact that I knew the date was coming, but it still makes you feel odd when it hits you.

A Continuation...

I apologise as the link to my previous blog post was issued twice. This is unfortunately a problem with twitterfeed that seems to keep recurring. The feed posts both to my twitter (which then posts to my myspace) and my facebook pages so the link I posted was made irrelevant a couple of days later.

Anyway, as I said previously, I was making a series of pictures for my friends based on Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland. So here they are for your viewing pleasure:

Flash Fiction No.9

Flash fiction statement was provided by Henry Saro on my Facebook Fan Page.

I remained afloat in my thoughts...

I closed my eyes. The water was icy cold like winter’s breath. It swirled around me, slipping down and splashing over my cheeks.

I could have taken his hand moments before. I could have stepped away from the edge of the bridge and dried my tears. I could have given up on giving up.

I opened my eyes and watched the air bubbles escape, circling up to pop on the surface. It looked so far away now and so filled with white light from the icy skies. The sound of him yelling was slow to reach my ears.

It was like time was breaking into pieces.

I blinked, keeping my arms by my sides as I sunk deeper into the water.

Don't OverByte It. Spring.me, Twit, Or I'll Facebook Your Mum's Space

Good morning! You may have noticed that I've altered the blog layout a bit. Links are on their own separate page, as is a short about me section and a quick links section to my flash fiction. It took quite a while to get it all sorted into a pleasing fashion. I wanted to make sure that I had everything I needed added in whilst keeping the blog as clutter free as possible. That's pretty hard to do when you want people to be able to share your blog in other places and keep all your links as well as have a list of recent comments & blogs that you read. I'm hoping that I've managed to achieve this. So answers on a postcard (or at the bottom of this post) if you think I have or if you can see improvements to be made.

OverByte Coming To A Stop & Other Things

[ #OverByte ] I thought you might all like to see the two comics I provided for OverByte, an independent Game Maker magazine. The magazine has since been cancelled, but I'll go into that after I post the two comics I created for it.
