There seems to be a strange amount of doing stuff in my life right now. That might explain why I’m not quite so active on twitter and such right now. I can access it on my phone if I’m really desperate but I don’t like to really.
It’s not such a bad balance of my time, though. I’m working AND seeing people/relaxing, which is always good. Getting sorted with the new job, too.

He brought her in from the cold and fed her bread and water. It was all he had to offer. She took it, head down, eyes lit with diminished fire. Yellow and tawny.
Rain slicked her coat, black and grey. She’d paddled it all in. Shining prints patterned the ground. He didn’t mind. The mop swished back and forth, watched by her guarded eyes as if afraid that he would strike.
She pushed the food around her plate, daring to look full. Crinkly eyes simply smiled back. He brought her milk as if that was better, trying to please her in a way she couldn’t understand.
Did the title get your attention? Well the munchkins will! Except they won’t… It has no real relevance to anything I’m going to say in this post. Oh well.
Here, have a picture of me totally soaked from the downpour that was the early hours of Thursday morning. We cut hair, drank things, attacked each other with parts of a hoover and danced like maniacs whilst deafening ourselves next to a pair of speakers.

Palms and fingers braced my forehead as fire burned the skeletal reaches of my veins. I swear you could see the smouldering through my skin as thin as paper.
My sister curled up and watched as I battled two halves, flaming. All sound exploded in my ears. A concerto of fireworks. I writhed, unable to make out her face.
Why?
I’ve probably posted the Pablo Neruda poem Sonnet XVII before but I still love it and as such that is the reason for the title.
I still feel like I’m going through a phase of being very busy. When I do stop it’s to eat or sleep. I managed to get some writing done, though, which is good.
